INITIAL
The GWO Advanced Rescue Training (ART) course equips participants with the knowledge and practical skills to safely perform entry-type rescue operations for injured persons within a Wind Turbine Generator (WTG). Building on the competencies gained in GWO Basic Safety Training (BST) – Working at Heights, participants learn to use industry-standard rescue equipment, techniques and procedures to conduct advanced rescue scenarios safely and effectively.
Upon successful completion, participants will receive a GWO Advanced Rescue Training (ART) qualification, recorded in the GWO WINDA database, demonstrating compliance with the Global Wind Organisation standard. In addition, participants will achieve the following nationally recognised Australian units of competency:
✅PUASAR032 – Undertake Vertical Rescue
✅PUASAR022 – Participate in a Rescue Operation
This unique combination of internationally recognised GWO certification and nationally recognised vocational competencies provides graduates with qualifications that are highly valued across both the Australian and global wind energy sectors.
